Kesmond Reserve Stage 2

green space urban infill

I have been working to secure funding for Stage 2 of Kesmond Reserve over the last couple of years.  Today it was great to see the Labor Party agree to a further upgrade, most likely to include shading, seating and restoration of the old Health Clinic (local heritage listed).   This project just missed out in the recent Fund My Neighbourhood round and will ensure the building can be used by the local families and community groups.

Since the recently completed Stage 1 upgrade by West Torrens Council, Kesmond Reserve has become increasingly popular with families.  The surrounding area is experiencing significant loss of green space due to urban infill, and Stage 2 will lessen the impact of urban infill on the community.
