Parks & Playgrounds

As we continue to experience increased urban density throughout Badcoe and lose more green space to infill development, it is important we improve our green space is to ensure maximum use by our community.

Marion, Unley, West Torrens and Mitcham Councils are all investing in improving and upgrading our parks and playgrounds, but often don’t have the money ┬áto fully establish our communities requirements.

Often parks and playgrounds lack BBQ facilities, water, toilets and shade.

The State Government is a big beneficiary of urban infill, through increased revenue from stamp duty, land taxes and developer fees.

I am seeking a greater contribution from the State Government to uplift our community infrastructure and better fund our parks and playgrounds in Badcoe.
